New Payment Types

Green Pay and Direct Bill

Effective January 1, 2016, West Suburban Travelers Limousine will change its payment policy. ALL orders will need to be Green Pay or Direct Bill, including last minute walk ups at the airport, in order for us to stay in compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.

Green Pay is our secure, paperless payment option. Because everything is handled at the point of reservation, there is no paperwork or transaction in the car. You simply enjoy the ride, and no fumbling around when you arrive at your destination to pay for the trip. It’s all taken care of.

We’ll store your credit card number on a secure server and won’t process it until after the trip has actually occurred. You can even add your gratuity when placing your reservation, so that you don’t have to fumble for cash at the drop off point. For convenience, our accounting department emails your receipt the very next business day, after your trip is complete.

Your Questions Answered

What happened to pre-pay? Nothing, really, we’ve simply renamed the process. Many of our customers were deterred from using pre-pay because they thought they were getting billed before actually taking their trip! This was not and is not the case. Changing the name to “Green Pay” is our first step in eliminating the confusion.

Is it safe and secure? Yes! For the past four years, we’ve contracted with the largest, most reputable limousine software company for security purposes. As a matter of fact, nearly 50% of all West Suburban Limousine customers already use Green Pay, and have done so without incident. You can opt to have us store your card on file, encrypted, so you don’t have to give your card number each time you place a reservation. Or, if you prefer, we can have the number securely purged from the system after each transaction.

Why don’t you just use credit card swipers in the card, like the Square Reader or Paypal? Centralizing our cc process in house is more secure than a fleet of drivers processing individually. Also, with the new encrypted chip technology being used in credit cards, there are some connectivity issues with certain cards and certain swipers in the car. We want to avoid this.

Do you still accept cash? You can pay the gratuity in cash.

What if I want to change the gratuity on a pre-arranged Green Pay trip? If you’ve already added a tip to a Green Pay trip, but wish to change it for any reason, there are two methods. Number one: if you want to increase the tip, because you were especially pleased with the service, the driver has a form you can sign to make the change. If you wish to decrease the gratuity, for whatever reason, you can call our accounting department the next morning, or email them at accounting@westsublimo.com. Please have your confirmation number handy, which will help expedite the process.
